Bundaberg will have plenty of players represent Wide Bay into a new era of football this weekend.
Football Queensland Wide Bay has announced a women’s and men’s squad that will take on Central Queensland tomorrow at Frenchville Football Club in the Central Coast Intercity Competition.
Coaches for both teams were able to select their team from a pool of players in the Wide Bay Premier League competition.
Each club selected 11 players not in their team to be picked and also nominated five players from their own club.
The squads were picked from that.
The women’s team features players from three clubs, Bingera, The Waves and United Park Eagles with The Waves featuring five players.
In the men’s, there are four clubs represented with Bingera, United Park Eagles, Diggers and SC Corinthins involved.
Brothers Aston Villa, who are the ladder leaders, have three players picked.
The games start at 4.30pm for the women with the men to play at 6.30pm.
