For Kate and Anthony Rehbein, their ‘The Taste of One Little Farm’ event is the realisation of a dream.

Kate and Anthony have always wanted to tell their story of farm to plate, and thought the Taste Bundaberg Festival would be the perfect event to showcase what they do to the culinary community.

One Little Farm is the exciting culmination of the Rehbeins’ extensive farming expertise and passion for agri-tourism, and this passion can be seen in their delicious fresh produce and unique gift lines.

Anthony said he was enthused to take visitors on a culinary adventure, sharing his stories of seasonality and growing in the Bundaberg and Burnett regions from a fourth-generation farmer’s perspective.

“There will also be opportunities to taste the produce as well as gourmet products that have been made in-store and the local region, while sitting back and enjoying a coffee in a very relaxed environment,” he said.

On their many food festival adventures, Anthony and Kate have seen first-hand the importance of knowing where your food comes from.

“Each one is an opportunity to showcase what we do but also the area, explaining that not many regions can attest to having plentiful seasonal produce, local dairies who supply the milk for our café, beef producers in the Burnett, local seafood caught just off the coast and the ever-growing local beverages makers,” Anthony said.

“There is also something special about knowing where your food comes from and who grew it and who created something with it.”

As well as the local produce and gourmet products, Anthony will be joined by Kate to talk about the seasonality of flowers and watch the process of an arrangement being created using blooms that Anthony picked from his farm.

“We welcome people to experience what One Little Farm has to offer from floral designs, micro growing, decadent coffee, and gourmet produce, each part having a story to tell,” he said.

The Taste of One Little Farm event is on Saturday 19 June from 9am to 11am, with bookings required through the Taste Bundaberg Festival website.
