Across The Waves hosted the annual Queensland Bocce Federation Cup Competition recently.

Players and spectators alike enjoyed high-quality play and sportsmanship.

Following the competition, everyone shared lunch, and trophies were presented to the winning teams.

The Waves men’s team – Lou Masotti, Ben Martelli, Jason Masotti, and Gino Mizzi – played at a very high standard to beat stiff competition against teams from Redlands and Newmarket, and win the trophy for Bundaberg. It came down to the last round, making for a fascinating end to the competition.

Unfortunately, the Waves women’s team – Silvia Rinaldi, Christine Masotti, May Henville, and Elsa Gillespie – wasn’t able to defend their title from last year and were beaten by a superior Redlands club.

Newmarket will host next year’s Queensland Federation Cup Competition, where the Waves men will look forward to defending their title, and the women’s team will be keen to go one better and bring home the trophy.
