Melons Australia, alongside other fruit and vegetable associations, hosted their final roadshow of the year in Bundaberg on Tuesday 17 September.
The event saw over 60 attendees, who had the chance to observe first hand how disease management practices can impact crop growth.
A field trial walk provided a valuable opportunity for growers, agronomists, and industry experts to engage with the Agreco Australia team about their ongoing trials in melon disease management, including gummy stem.
After the field walk, participants attended a series of presentations covering key challenges facing our industry, such as pest and disease control, biosecurity, quality management, labour, and sustainability.
In the coming weeks, Melons Australia will share the findings from the field trials and the Roadshow presentations on their website.
