Detectives have charged two men after locating drugs, firearms and ammunition during a search warrant was on a Bundaberg East address.

The Bundaberg Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) executed a search warrant on 12 June, uncovering a quantity of drug implements, five firearms and ammunition.

A 28-year-old Bundaberg East man has been charged with possessing drug utensils, five counts of unlawful possession of firearms and unlawful possession of explosives (ammunition).

He is due appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on July 26.

Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Bishop, Officer in Charge, Bundaberg CIB said police will continue to actively pursue drug and property offenders within our community on an ongoing basis.

“The support and assistance of the community is a vital component of our enforcement activities and I would encourage any members of the community who have information to contact police,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Bishop.
