Bundaberg Lions gives thanks to Chippindall’s

The Lions Club Christmas Cake project has been an outstanding success since first introduced in 1965.

Lions Christmas Cakes and Pudding sales in Australia for 2023 hit 50,000 cartons and were 1957 cartons up on 2022 which had boasted the best sales ever. Bundaberg Lions Club secretary Alan Williams said Bundaberg Lions Christmas Cake sales had increased every year for more than a decade.

“This is because of our valued supporters and the fact that Bundaberg people just love Lions Christmas Cakes,“ Mr Williams said.

Bundaberg Lions presented a Community Service Award to Donna and Peter Heaps for their assistance over several years in promoting and selling Lions Christmas Cakes at both of their Chippindall’s businesses.

“Funds raised from this project enable the Lions Club to provide much valued support to our community.“

While there might be a few months to Christmas, that doesn’t mean enthusiasts can’t get organised as Mr Williams said this year’s Christmas cake and pudding order should arrive soon.

“Lions Christmas cakes and pudding are a favourite with many in our region.

“You will start to see Lions Christmas cakes at our supporters in the coming months and we expect to be selling in the locations as last year, but to learn more just internet search for Lions Christmas Cakes Bundaberg.

“Bundaberg Lions will be out and about selling Melbourne Cup Sweep tickets for our annual fundraiser soon and we will have Christmas Cakes available as well.“

Why a Lions Christmas Cake or Pudding? Here are 10 good reasons.

1. All the profits raised go back to the community in the way of medical research, disaster relief and many other local projects.

2. The cakes and puddings are of a high quality baked in Australia by a well-known brand.

3. Lions Christmas Cakes have been a proven popular quality product for over 50 years.

4. The prices are very reasonable at $16 to $20.

5. The cakes or puddings can be enjoyed by the entire family.

6. They are nicely boxed with a Christmas theme so no further wrapping is required.

7. Order now well ahead of Christmas so there are no hassles at that busy time.

8. Your local Club will try and deliver to your business. (ideal employee Christmas gift)

9. We are also flexible with orders and can-do part cartons of cakes or a mixture of cakes and puddings.

10. We accept bank transfer or FPOS and provide a receipt.
