Ability to bring community together in celebration clear with ball success

It is time to break out the glamour and elegant finery for this year’s Community Lifestyle Support Ability Ball.

Now in its 11th year, this ball continues to be a highlight on the region’s social calendar and this year, organisers are letting guests bring out their gorgeous best with the theme simply semi formal.

Community Lifestyle Support’s Ability Ball coordinator Trevor Sands said this was a fantastic event for Community Lifestyle Support and they were proud of how the Ability Ball created awareness and broke down barriers for people living with a disability.

“It truly is a stand out every year because everyone can have such a great night and really feel free to let their hair down and just have a wonderful time together,” he said.

“I find that most years people are asking me well in advance of an announcement what is the date for that year’s Ability Ball because it is such a highlight.”

While Mr Sands is currently in discussion with a number of special guests, entertainment will be provided by a fantastic group called The Big Stadium Rock Show, playing classics from the 80s and 90s, including plenty of fabulous rock anthems.

“This Ability Ball continues to showcase the great community spirit that the Bundaberg region is know for and we would like to thank our sponsors who are Sugarland Plaza, Cabinet Connections, JRZ Homes and Rhino Support Coordination, because without these guys the ball simply wouldn’t happen each year.

“We are looking forward to another great night to build some wonderful memories for all those who attend and just bring the community together to uplift and celebrate people’s abilities.”

The Ability Ball is held on 7 September from 5.30pm to 10pm at the Bundaberg Multiplex Centre and tickets can be purchased through the website humantix.com

With limited seats available, the Ability Ball becomes quickly sold out, so don’t miss your opportunity to have an amazing night celebrating ability.

There are two type of tickets available general guest ticket and guest plus their companion ticket bundle.

If you would like to know more about being a sponsor of the Ability Ball or have any enquiries regarding the event please email events@cls.org.au or phone CLS on 1300 257 753.
