Time to get social

Elisha Taderera, Gayle Reynolds and Angela Tywford discuss Social365, a fresh new project that highlights the amazing social, community, and sporting groups in the Bundaberg region.

Seeing how loneliness and social isolation can impact mental health inspired Social365, a fresh new project that highlights the amazing social, community, and sporting groups in the Bundaberg region.

Social365 aims to share inspiring stories from ten social, community and sporting groups about how they are helping gen z and millennials feel connected and excited to get involved in the community.

Social365 is all about getting people involved in local groups to create a stronger, more connected community.

Social, community and sporting groups play a pivotal role in improving social lives and building great relationships.

The project will focus on sharing real-life stories to show the benefits of social interactions, 365 days a year.

Funded by a grant from The Social Shift, provided by the Department of Social Services Local Services Plans – Community-Led Support Fund, Social365 is a unique initiative developed by Wide Bay Kids Community.

Wide Bay Kids Community, the designers of this project, have partnered with Elisha Taderera (Taderera Enterprises), known for their extensive experience in digital marketing, content creation, and community engagement.

Taderera Enterprises and Wide Bay Kids Community have successfully delivered numerous projects requiring the development of engaging digital content and strategic marketing initiatives, but this is the first time the two have collaborated together.

Through the Social365 project, videographers will visit group get-togethers to capture members’ positive experiences and the impact of their involvement.

The content will be edited into engaging, shareable videos and distributed across multiple online platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and the Welcome to Bundaberg website.

By highlighting the vibrant social, community and sporting groups in Bundaberg, Social365 aims to inspire young people to explore and engage with the opportunities around them, ultimately fostering a more connected and supportive community.

Expressions of interest for social, community and sporting groups to be involved can be submitted online.
