Art society take exhibition to the dark side

It is time for the Bundaberg Art Society to showcase to the region just how outstanding some of the work their members create is with the latest exhibition for the Hazzard Gallery – Dark Stormy.

Opened on Friday 19 July at 6pm, president Marilyn Batty said the Bundaberg Art Society was over the moon with their new retail area at the gallery at 95C Walker Street Bundaberg.

“We have gotten our whole space back to showcase the talented members of Bundaberg Art Societies work,“ Mrs Batty said.

“Members feel that we have arrived and plan to fill whole gallery with fresh artwork.

“It has been a challenge for us to get to this point and this choice of theme has put many to the test, although I am sure our members are up for it and will

once again make us proud.

“Our new retail area gives members a chance to not only display artworks but also to provide a lovely gift shop full of original cards, jewellery and

handicrafts for sale.“

The Bundaberg Art Society Hazzard Gallery are open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings 9am till noon and have extended hours when they have a new exhibition.
