RACQ Bundaberg has proven that unexpected kindness can make all the difference.
Through their local giving program, RACQ has provided a very welcomed $500 donation to Bundaberg Legacy.
Bundaberg Legacy president Len Gordon said this vital program enabled them to upgrade their vehicle, ensuring enhanced safety for their widows with the installation of safety rails. “These upgrades are particularly significant as they facilitate easier access for our older widows, allowing them to participate more fully in our socialisation programs,” he said.
“The installation of safety rails in our vehicle addresses a significant challenge faced by our older widows, making it safer and more comfortable for them to get in and out of the vehicle. “This improvement not only promotes their safety but also encourages greater participation in our community activities, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion.
The RACQ Local Giving Program is committed to supporting grassroots communities across Queensland.
By providing grants up to $500, the program aids local organizations in enhancing community services and achieving sustainability goals.
RACQ’s support spans various activities, including road safety, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability, truly making a tangible difference in the communities they serve.
“Thank you, RACQ, for your support and for making a difference in the lives of our widows and the broader community.
“Your commitment to supporting locals where we live, and play highlights the impactful role of membership in driving positive change.”
RACQ Bundaberg member engagement member Crystal W said being able to support community groups like Legacy brought such value and purpose to the local Bundaberg RACQ staff.
“We love being able to give back where we can and to really show appreciation to community groups that deserve support to continue to offer such wonderful services to our community,” she said.
