Waves of Hope shared through fundraiser

With a group of friends and colleagues who have been deeply impacted by breast cancer coming together to share their stories, The Waves Sports Club Waves of Hope fundraising event became a reality.

The Waves Sports Club marketing manager Tahnee Hrelja said this group came up with Waves of Hope from a desire to support the amazing work of The McGrath Foundation and tickets were already selling fast for the Saturday 24 August event.

“The McGrath Foundation is committed to ensuring that no one faces breast cancer alone by providing access to specialist McGrath breast care nurses across Australia and with over 204 nurses currently supporting more than 127,000 families, the McGrath Foundation has made significant strides towards their goal of having 250 nurses this year,” Tahnee said.

“However, there is still more work to be done to ensure that everyone in need receives the care and support they deserve.

“Hosting the Waves of Hope breast cancer fundraising event in support of the McGrath Foundation is incredibly meaningful to The Waves.

“This event allows us to actively contribute to a cause that deeply impacts so many lives and families.

“By supporting the McGrath Foundation, we are helping to provide crucial breast care nurses to families experiencing breast cancer, offering both emotional and practical support during challenging times.

“For The Waves, this event is more than just a fundraiser, it is a demonstration of our commitment to our community and to making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.

“It brings together our members, staff, and the wider community in a united effort to support a worthy cause.”

The afternoon will be filled with great company, delicious food, live entertainment and raffles and all for a wonderful cause.

Tickets can be purchased at The Waves Sports Club.
